You will notice that there is a photocopy writing page in your child’s folder
this week. Every week, we will complete
a direct draw activity and write about our drawing. I have purchased a new
letter drawing book that we will do every week with each letter of the
alphabet. I am going to keep these
originals in your child’s file and make an alphabet book at the end of the
year.

I just finished the "My Marvelous Mom" interviews of your kiddos. TOO FUNNY! Moms, did you know that most of you like pizza as your favorite food?! :)
Right in the middle my typing this, we had our first FIRE DRILL! My Cubs did great! We read Miss Mingo and the Fire Drill this morning and did a practice drill. Here is a picture of them from the practice this morning:
Wow, I am full of good news today! When I was messing with inserting this picture, I figured out how to reorder the pictures on the main blog slideshow to show the newest pictures first. This way, you don't have to watch the whole slideshow to see the newest pictures. Yay!
On a side note, I really enjoyed your children today! (I ALWAYS do, but today was super special!) They have been so helpful to me and each other, they worked super quietly during centers (without my reminding them) AND they all are resting peacefully now. I am blessed beyond words by your children. Thanks for sharing them with me.

We will be going on a field trip on Wednesday, September 21st. We are reading Miss Bindergarten Goes on a Field Trip With Kindergarten next week and we are visiting some community helpers just like the book! We are going to the Commerce PD, Commerce FD and Post Office. We are ending the trip with lunch at the park. Please send a sack lunch with your child that day. If you are unable to send a lunch, the cafeteria can make a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich lunch. Please let me know if your child will need one.
Mrs. Miller, our counselor, is in need of small toys and trinkets, like Happy Meal toys, for prizes for Red Ribbon Week in October. If you have some to donate, please send with your child and mark them for Mrs. Miller.
