When I walked into the classroom this morning and set my bag down, my heart jumped into my throat when I heard this strange whooshing noise above my head! Casey is no longer is chrysalis! We have a butterfly!
When I left for morning assembly, Avery looked like this...
15 minutes later when we came back, Avery was letting its wings dry!
This afternoon, we will have a butterfly release party!

Such a cool experience! When Karol got home, she was all nostalgic about the release, but it was a GREAT & memorable learning moment! :)
